Anyone Fly Mesa Airlines

I have interisland tickets from Oahu to Maui with Hawainan Airlines. I want to changed our time on Maui and now need to change the date on the tickets. Called Hawaian Air and they want $50.00 for each ticket to change the date by a day. Because of this I could buy two new tickets with Mesa. I do not want to give Hawainan Air my business. By the way, we change the date back in Aug. and it was 30.00 at that time. And they should wonder why nobody is coming to the island!

Anyone Fly Mesa Airlines

Theres another reason not to book your InterIsland Flights that far out in advance.

Things change and the airlines are within their rights to charge change fees.

Call Hawaiian again and see if they will honor the 30 dollars as you have quoted.

Go Mesa they are not my favorite.

Becareful with them

They have no interline agreement with Hawaiian, Mokulele/Republic JETS or Island Air.

If they cancel your flight, you are SOL

they refund your money and you must do all the rebooking....

Plus they had a flight where the crew fell asleep and overshot their destination by 15 mins

Hawaiian is the best at InterIsland Travel now.

Anyone Fly Mesa Airlines

I would have 2 opinions about this.

If you are connecting to a mainland flight, Hawaiian will be much more convenient as they operate both inter-island %26amp; mainland flights out of the main terminal. Go! would bring you into the commuter terminal and will not accept a surfboard over 6%26#39; (if that is a concern).

On the other hand, if you just want to get from Maui to Oahu Go! has a full schedule of flights as does Hawaiian. I use both %26amp; haven%26#39;t had nay problems with either. In fact, I sometimes prefer Go! because of the ease of using the Commuter Terminal in Honolulu for check in on the way back to Maui

I won%26#39;t take go! because of their business practice.

They came into Hawaii to force one or more of the existing airlines out of business.

They did that by losing money on airfares for over a year simply because they had a parent company (Mesa) on the mainland to keep them funded.

Once they forced the other airline out of business, they jacked their fares up.

When Go! came into the Hawaii market the two ';competitors'; were charging identical fares %26amp; co-ordinating schedules and the interisland flights my wife %26amp; son took to visit UH Manoa in spring of %26#39;06 were pushing $200 R/T per seat. Frankly, I was glad to see a third airline come in and shake things up a bit.

Real competition in the marketplace has now produced a realistic fare structure of $59/69 one way fares. The days of the $19 one way sales are gone, but we know that was just stupid cheep and the airlines were loosing money. True, Aloha Airlines did not survive the fare war, but they made bad decisions and were flying one of the oldest, most fuel inefficient fleets in the sky!

There are rumors of another third airline coming in again...we%26#39;ll see.

If the price %26amp; schedule work.....fly Go!

If not ...don%26#39;t.

P.S. Dusty hate Go! Airlines, the Superferry AND Old Lahaina Luau. He has admittedly never been to Old Lahaina Luau, don%26#39;t know about the other two!

We flew Go to Maui from Oahu and Hawaiian Air from Maui back to Oahu. Both were fine.
