better to stay 1 night in Oahu or arrive in Maui at 3:00p.m.

Our flight arrives in Honolulu at 11:12 a.m.

What would you do either stay on Oahu for one night take a taxi to the Sheraton Moana Surfrider on the beach and be at that hotel and on the beach by 1:00 p.m.

or

Continue on to Maui in which case our flight arrives there at 3:00 p.m. by the time we get luggage, rental car, stop at costco and arrive at the Sheraton it will clearly be ater 5:00 p.m. so probably can%26#39;t go to the beach pool so the first day is pretty much wasted.

If we stay on Oahu one night then the next day we can get an early flight on Hawaiian Airlines to Maui and be at the Sheraton by noon easily.

WHICH WOULD YOU DO??

We%26#39;ll be there a total of 8 nights.

Agreed. Go straight to Maui. Enjoy the sunset, get a nice dinner, walk on the beach, sleep and you%26#39;ll be ready first thing in the morning actually on Maui.

Sheraton Maui check-in time is not until 2 or 3pm, so I would continue straight to Maui on the same day and arrive there in the late afternoon.

You can then check straight in, go to your room to unpack etc then get a good night sleep ready to spend your first day doing what ever you want without having to travel again.

I would go straight on to Maui, postpone groceries until day 2 and have dinner by the sand somewhere. If there is something you really require for that first morning, such as coffee or whatever, I would head to a closer grocery after the sun has set.

Get thee to Maui.

With your Oahu overnight, you have to re-pack, drive back to the airport and do all that stuff, and still have to get luggage, rent a car in Maui, etc.

That is a huge PITA to me.

It%26#39;s not like it%26#39;s pitch black or the pools are closed at 5pm.

Get to MAUI! You will be in time to dump your bags, get down to the Lagoon Bar to watch the torch lighting and have a tropical itch while watching the sunset! Nobrainer!
