Cuatro in Kihei Review

Cuatro at the Foodland center in Kihei

Small place holds about 30 people

Lots of PuuPuu Choices.

2 dinners

Both Fish Special (monchong ~ONO!)

27 dollars each included is a vegetable of the day. on our day it was String beans and a starch,(depends which preparation style you choose (truffled mashed, garlic mashed/basmati rice etc.

8 dollar salads House salad/Tijuana Caesar

Bill 75 dollars for 2 with one one extra menu item (2 dollars) no drinks except water.

No alcohol/liquor license as of now so it BYOB etc.

Service was OK, Nothing special.

Food was good except this one fact, DW%26#39;s fish prepartion was the ';Lets stack everything on top of each other'; style.

We both think this style is well past its expiration date. Old style IMHO.

The food was good, but it wasnt a ';We have to go back soon'; experience.

When we do, we will try some different menu items.

Thanks for the review!

SMG - it%26#39;s good to have a new option in the area, glad you made it over there - had to laugh about the stacking of the food, am inclined to agree on that thought.

mahalo for the update

yeah the ';Stack it High all on top of one another'; was bad, and funny.

One thing, the wood bench seats on the sides of the reastaurant were not comfortable.9No pillows just hard wood back (think outback bar tables)

DW said she felt a bit uncomfortable beacause the place is small and the tables are VERY close to one another that she couldn%26#39;t help but look at other peoples plates/tables since there were so close.

We will try it again, just no plans for anytime soon.

SMG - the additional thoughts are greatly appreciated - as well as feedback from your DW. Doesn%26#39;t sound like I would enjoy it either.

mahalo

No way - $75 and no booze!
