Roberts Hawaii or Discovery Hawaii tour agency?

WE are thinking of doing the Oahu circle tour in Honolulu and the Road to Hana Tour in Maui.

Has anyone taken either of these tours with either of these tour agencys?

Are they all pretty much the same or are there some major differences?

We are a couple in our 50%26#39;s with an adult daughter.

We took the Roberts Circle Island tour in 2002 and were very pleased.

Were the buses the big tour bus type or the smaller ones with about 25 people with the large windows?

I heard the bigger buses were harder to see out of and that a lot of time was wasted waiting for everyone to get off and on?

The bus was a large one. It was half full and I don%26#39;t remember any difficulties with seeing things or getting on and off. Since then, we%26#39;ve taken two other tours, one In Kauai and another on Oahu in smaller buses and I really couldn%26#39;t recommend one over the other--(big vs small).

I see you%26#39;re in Monroeville. I grew up in East Liberty and my husband is from Forest Hills. Go Steelers!

Were the other tours thru Roberts also?

Small world isn%26#39;t it.

roberts for circle island,Pearl Harbor, and Kauai. Enoa for a second circle island tour last winter.

yes, it is a small world. Pittsburghers are everywhere! enjoy your trip.

We have done the Circle Island Tour, although we did ours with Polynesian Adventure Tours. Roberts, Polynesian %26amp; Enoa all offer very similar Circle Island Tours. If I remember correctly, Enoa do their tour in the smaller seating bus, but I have used Roberts for other tours before and never had seating/viewing problems.

Another good tour company for Road to Hana is Valley Isle Excursions, my sister went with them and said they were fantastic. Their web is www.tourmaui.com

Have a great trip :-)

Hi C-scape52, just to add to what others have been saying, all of our buses at Discover Hawaii Tours are mini-buses, with a maximum capacity of 25 people.

We feel that our guests have a more intimate and personalized tour in our mini-buses because it is easy to talk and interact with the tour guide. If you want to stop at a specific location and our guide can accomodate you, it is easy to make a suggestion along the way.

Also, with a smaller bus and group there is added flexibility in where we can stop and explore, especially on the Road to Hana tour in Maui.

I took the Roberts Circle Island Tour last September. I thought it was very good and great value for money. Our driver was friendly, informative, and funny. He also made a few additional stops that werent officially on the tour because he thought we would enjoy them.

I%26#39;ll be doing the same tour again when i go back this June.
