Renting a car

Hi guys

Can you tell me the best company I can rent a car from I%26#39;m visiting Honolulu for 2 weeks and I%26#39;d like to drive around and see the island for a few days.

Thanks for your help!!! :)

Renting a car

look at this site

www.hawaiidrive-o.com/

good daily rates and if i remember right you are staying at the Prince Kuhio and you can rent a car thru budget on this isite which is in tht Waikiki Hyatt only a couple blocks away. Better rates than going directly thru the rental car co. and the rental car co. will send you an email confirmation.

I am not sure about which is the ';BEST'; company to rent from but Alamo has a Hawaii special right now where they have convertables and Jeeps for $199/week as well as other sized vehicles for $259/week and $279/week. Have a look at www.alamo.com and click on Hot Deals (a red tab on the top page) then click on the Hawaii special. Might not work for you if you just want a car for a couple of days but I thought I would pass it along to you.

Happy Planning!!

We got about the same price (under $200 for 5 days) for a Ford Mustang convertible at Budget.

Hi, where will you park the car? and at how much?

Parking rates at Waikiki hotels:

travel-hawaii.com/waikiki_hotel_parking.html

If you are in a hotel within a couple blocks of Aston Waikiki Banyan, you can park there for $10/day.

If you are in a hotel near Ft. DeRussy, you can park for $16/day, minimum 3 days to get that rate.

With the visitor count down right now, you can ask hotels if they will give you free or reduced rate for parking. Don%26#39;t hurt to ask.

There are many rental units on www.vrbo.com that include free parking.

You can also try to find free parking along Ala Wai Blvd. Will be hard to find a spot after 5pm. You can park there 24 hours a day except for 2 days a week it is closed for parking for 3-4 hours for street cleaning. I think Monday %26amp; Friday mornings from about 8am - noon. Read the signs on the street. Police will be quick to tow cars illegally parked.

Thanks everyone for your answers

UNCMOM2011 i checked out the site you recommended and saw another company called THRIFTY that has jeeps on hire and they are much cheaper than BUDGET co. do you know if Thrifty is a good company to hire a vehicle from?

Thanks for your help!
