Parking during the daytime

If we are renting a car for the day and we need to go back to our hotel at the Hyatt during the daytime what is the status of parking during the day for a short time? What is the cost?

I%26#39;m not sure I totally understand your question, but most hotels in Waikiki/Honolulu charge you per day for parking and you can go and out each day as often as you want. You%26#39;ll probably have to check with the Hyatt to see what their policy is. Are you saying you%26#39;re going to rent a car from the hotel for a day, and you%26#39;ll be leaving and then going back to the hotel for a little while, and then leaving again?? If you don%26#39;t want to pay the hotel per day, SOME hotels have metered parking on the street or streets nearby.

Sorry for the confusion.....yes, we will only be renting the car for the day so we don%26#39;t really want to pay the $25/day to park. We were thinking that if we go to Pearl Harbor OR Diamond Head in the morning and then want to go by the hotel to change or something before venturing out again we want to know if there is parking and do you pay by the hour at or near the Hyatt?

you have many options. Ask what valet parking is at the Hyatt. Tell them you have a friend coming to visit and would like to know what the cost will be to valet park the car.

Another option is the parking lot in the back of the Hyatt at the King%26#39;s Village. Inquire what the hourly rate is. Down Koa Avenue towards the Waikiki Resort Hotel is an outdoor parking lot. I believe pay boxes that requires deposit for parking is available. Other than that, off street meter parking is a minimum and you need to be living right or lucky to find one during the day.

One other options is to park by or near the zoo. A 15 minute walk to your hotel, but, FREE parking on Monsarett AVenue and the Waikiki Shell parking lot.
