Insurance for three days?

I need a car insurance for three days, does someone of you can recommend me an insurance company, where it%26#39;s possible to make a three day insurance?

I don%26#39;t have any experiences with american insurances.

Check with your rental agency. The major ones offer insurance, but I am not sure of any differences for persons with international driver%26#39;s licenses.

The problem is that we can get a car from a privat person, but she cannot make insurances. so we have to make one for this three days. in switzerland it%26#39;s possible to make something like a ';one day insurance'; or ';three days insurance'; but i have no idea how this works in america...

In most states of the US the insurance follows the car then follows the driver. So, under most policies....

If I let you drive my car, my insurance will cover you first. then if my coverage isn%26#39;t enough to pay for the accident, any insurance you have would be next in line.

So, even if you have your own coverage, my policy would pay out first. I do not know of anyone who offers a daily coverage.

Do you know this person you would be renting from? Be aware there are many scams involving rentals...unlike reputable companies there are NO guarantees, like what happens if you are on the North Shore and the car breaks down? I really think you guys will be better off, and safer, using ';dabus';!
