Trying to plan a honeymoon for end of Sept/early Oct. Was wondering if anyone had suggestions of off the beaten path lodging or as my fiancee but it ';less touristy';. We%26#39;re ok with a certain amount of rusticness/don%26#39;t need some 5 star hotel however I do demand running water and such. Suggestions?

You%26#39;re in luck in that late Sept %26amp; early October is a low season for number of visitors to Hawaii. so you have plenty of time to research %26amp; there should be lodging of all types available.
What island(s)? How many days? Budget concerns?
Kauai %26amp; Big Island are less touristy.
