Island Hopping Early/Mid July

We are 2 adults and two older teens. We will be doing some island hoping the 2nd and 3rd week of July. Are there any tricks to getting reasonable airfare from island to island?

Any word on the ferry running again?

Heard sometimes local travel agents have deals, can they be booked from the mainland?

The ferry may run again, but probably not before July.

The least expensive airfares are on Tuesdays through Thursdays.

Figure on about $50-$75 for each flight depending when you book them. You might find a better deal. Sometimes as low as $35 + tax. But maybe not for the summer.

Hope you have plenty of time in Hawaii. Although flight times island-to-island are brief, you%26#39;ll spend time at the airport for security, before boarding, waiting for luggage, and at the rental car counter. Hops can eat half a day.
