Maui for Teens to Seniors?

Hi - my teenaged daughters and i are bringing my 70 year old mom to maui for a dream come true trip. Obviously there are activities that are perfect for one generation and not the other - is it safe for either the teens to hang out at the condo while the grandma and i go wondering or v/v?

thanks!

Your condo should be just as safe as your home as long as you use the same precautions on Maui that you do at home. Remember Hawaii is paradise with the small %26#39;p%26#39;, so don%26#39;t leave doors or sliders unlocked or tempt theft with valuables on the lanai or beside a pool lounge unattended.

Where are you staying? Where would your teen girls be walking without adults? How old are these teens? I%26#39;d use the same common sense on Maui that you would at home.

Thanks for the response...i would expect the petty theft one finds most anywhere if one is not careful, but i was more concerned with personal crime levels in the area. We%26#39;re staying at Kahana, which sounds like more of a quiet area, so i guess as long as i%26#39;m too far away for too long, both the teens and the grandma will be ok.

As long as my two teenage girls stick together I feel pretty safe with them walking around alone. At night we either go to Front St. or Whalers Village and have never had problems. They know to be careful.
