Be aware that next week there will be a 10am -5pm daily closure of the summit road starting This Friday Jan 9th. Looks like weekends will be open as well as the MLK holiday.

I read the article but it doesn%26#39;t say how long this will last. Anyone know?

How will this affect downhill biking? I was planning on doing a ';go at your own rate'; sunrise tour with Maui Sunriders on Mon, Feb 9....is this something I%26#39;m going to have to bow out of?

The way it reads, they are timing the work to avoid conflicts with people going to the summit for sunrise and sunset. (Don%26#39;t the bike rides now start outside the park now anyway?)

Correct. No bike tours inside the National Park boundries.
