How is the weather right now at Poipu? Wedding on 1/11th!

We are leaving for a couple day for Kauai. I am getting married at Shipwreck%26#39;s beach on Sunday, 1/11th. It is the beach off the Grand Hyatt. How is the weather right now in Poipu? Short sleeves, shorts, flipflops and a light jacket?

I%26#39;m checking the weather frequently and it keeps showing rain and it is bumming me out.

%26#39;Gorgeous day today. A nice breeze, very few clouds and the sun is shining. I did need a long sleeve last night when I went out to dinner. I am hearing some wind and light rain is coming perhaps Sunday.

The weather reports will always show some rain as it drizzles almost every day. If the report says 50% then that is a bigger rain. If it says 20% rain then that is a drizzle somewhere on the island.

You might need to X your fingers on this one. And have a backup plan.

Last night on the weather they were talking about a fast moving front from the west that is supposed to bring storms and rain. Currently expected to hit --- Sunday.

Right now I have overcast and rainy to my left (inland/south) and some blue sky to my right over the sea(north). Winds ar light from the east. We%26#39;re on the East side.

Thursday 11-8-90....noon...Nawiliwili Harbor..Lihue.

Sunny, with a few puffy whites, very light winds, definitely shorts weather.

Saw on the TV weather report, sat nite and sunday...

thuderstorms. But, that does not mean that it will happen, we need to watch the actual data.

I can see what is going on in Poipu, as Mt. Ha%26#39;upu is reavealing the same kind of weather in poipu as we have here near the Lihue Marriot.

Agree with Dave to have a back up plan of some kind, just in case.

Do go all worry and stress, OK....our weather guessers are notorious for being off the mark.

Stay cool, hug your loved one, hold hands, and stay positive.

Regarless, you are getting married, and will be able to enjoy the beauty of the garden island.

If this is indeed a fast mover, and they were accurate, and it was not just raining in the moutains, etc., you will still be OK...talk to your wedding coordinator...and have that plan B.
