i am planning on hiring a porsche in maui, the only thing concerning me is insurance has anyone else from the uk done this? any ideas?

i havent--- but i have a feelling they will not give you the keys until you buy their insurance whick i am certain will call yo a fortune

you can bet on it and its high price.. with proably a very ,very high deductable... Have your bank in UK set up to be prepared to wire funds to Hawaii.

Hawaii is an at fault state for insurance...meaning any damage you have..is your responsiblty and no one elses....

A porsche in Maui ? With speed limits between 15 to 50 mph.... where were you planing on drivng it... and getting out of 3 rd gear will be a treat... 4 th and 5 th?????

dan is right...there%26#39;s no point in renting anything that expensive in maui. there are plenty of rich people on the island (residents and tourists) so no one will be impressed. and with the slow speed of travel, a moped will get you around faster.
