Kaanapali Beach Hotel renovations?

Does anyone know which buildings in the Kaanapali beach hotel have been renovated? We are planning to go in March or April of 2009 but have heard that some of the buildings are outdated and need a lot of work. Does anyone know if the hotel is being completely renovated and when it will be finished? I just want to make sure to get a more modern room. thanks

The MAUI and LANAI buildings were completely renovated approx 6-7 yrs ago...

MOLOKAI building was done about 10 years ago. Do NOT stay in that wing!

KAUAI wing was being refurbished when I checked a few months back...

We have one night reservation in March...so I will post then to confirm...

I thought I%26#39;d bump this. I couldn%26#39;t find a renovation schedule anywhere online for KBH.

Does anyone know what has been done, what%26#39;s left to be done, and when it might all be completed?

I read somewhere that all the oceanfront and oceanview rooms were renovated now. Does anyone know if that%26#39;s true as of this date (or just an overzealous booking site)? It seems requesting a particular room ahead hasn%26#39;t worked for others, so I thought by buying a better room view, maybe they%26#39;ll have those all done soon. Anyone know?

We stayed at the KBH for out honeymoon in June; we stayed ocean front in the Kauai wing. There were renovation at that time but it looked like they were just working on the garden view and maybe partial ocean view area in the Kauai wing. We didn%26#39;t hear any noise from the construction at all but it did look like they were either just getting ready to or had just finished redoing some of the ocean view rooms; we walked by and could see some rooms emptied out of all of the furnishings, hope this helps.

I don%26#39;t know which building it is, but we were in The Whaler Tower 1 from 9/12 through 9/20 and toward the end of our stay there were guys doing demolition on a few rooms in the KBH building facing The Whaler Tower 1. It was like the 4th or 5th floor.

We are going in 17 days!!! I called the hotel and they were working on the Kauai wing. I stayed in that wing a few years ago and it definitely needs it. I always request a specific room in the Maui wing that we are very happy with and only once in 10 trips have they not been able to give us that room or one next to it.

Which room is the room you always get? Is it an oceanview room? Why do you like it so much? Hows the view?..Any pictures of your view?...Id love to see them!

Its just that we will be going in Sept. 09, and I have never been before.

If you keep wanting it over and over again, it must be a real good room. I may like to request it too...

This will be a Ann. trip..and I would really love a great view.
