Sheraton Maui Resort/Spa TimeShare Presntation

Hi Everyone!

My wife and I are going in April 2009, and would like some feedback from anyone who has attended the Sheraton Maui timeshare presentation.

Was it ';high pressure'; or rather relaxed.

Would greatly appreciate any feedback and thank you very much in advance!

Sheraton Maui Resort/Spa TimeShare Presntation

We go to Maui in Feb. When doing my research I found out that the Sheraton Timeshare provided good discounts as well. But I think the good members at TA helped drive some sense into me :)

We are 2 adults and 2 kids. Assuming I did the 3 activities I was looking to do (Snorkel Trip, Luau, and one other) I was going to be ';saving'; about $300 by attending the timeshare presentation. I hear even though they say 2 hrs - it is more like 3+ and you spend another couple hours ';recovering'; from the presentation :). Maui is an expensive vacation regardless. Not sure $300 was worth giving up a half day for. Therefore our decision was to not do this.

Good luck with whatever you chose to do!

but for 5 nights, car rental, and $75 to $175 hotel voucher for $749 total (for two adults and up to two kids) is probably the nicest deal out there. . .

not to mention you%26#39;re not even required to take the tour.

Compared to the timeshare presentations we have endured in the past the Westin one was quite lowkey...that said we have purchased...twice! The Villas are amazing and work well for us. But if you have no interest you don%26#39;t even have to do it to take advantage of the great deal! We have used other Westin and Marriott offers on other islands and never done the ';speach';! They are a great way to visit.

Sounds like a good deal to me, who would I contact to take advantage of the timeshare presentation?

No worries they will contact you the minute you check in! HA

Starwood will find you -i got an e mail right after i checked in at the Villas in July 08

If you are a Starwood member - and maybe even if you aren%26#39;t - you will be hounded to attend a presentation and tour. Let me put this another way: whether you are staying at the Westin/Sheraton property on one of their cheap deal packages or not ... they will still approach you about a presentation ... and offer some freebies or discounts, free dinner, etc. Some are generous with the Starwood points. They want to SELL you a piece of their property. They aren%26#39;t just being friendly. They want to know how much money you make, education level, travel patterns - either by directly or indirectly asking. I don%26#39;t like to be manipulated, so I stay away.

So what do they offer you? If I do it I want to hold out for the best deal.
