topless and nude beaches

Are there any nude or topless beaches? where are they and is it safe to go there?

topless and nude beaches

Legally there are none but the law is not enforced at Kehena Beach and at 69. Both are clothing optional beaches and you will see people wearing swimming suits as well as people naked.

Beach 69 has changed a lot since they fixed the road and put in facilities. Last I went I didn%26#39;t see anyone without clothing, but then I wasn%26#39;t looking.

Actually it is not technically illeagle to sunbathe nude in Hawaii. The state supreme court ruled on it and said unless you intentionally try to affront someone by exposing yourself there is no law prohibiting you from nude sunbathing.

Having said that I would stick with the traditional beachs such as Kehena Beach where it has been clothing optional for a long time.

Kehena Beach is a black sand beach. It is a bit of a hike down a cliff but there are steps cut into the face so it is not that difficult. The worst problem is car break ins there from time to time so just don%26#39;t leave anything of value in your car if you choose to go.

With reference to the final paragraph of Bill%26#39;s advice: if you do give Kehena a try, would guess there are few ideas potentially more embarrasing than leaving your valuables, including your clothes, in a locked car. Simple, but valuable, tip learned here on TA: If you%26#39;re considering parking in a questionable area, and see a bunch of broken glass on the ground, find another spot.

Discovered something a few weeks ago, subsequent to a rash of parked car break-in%26#39;s in our neighborhood: there is a spot, approximately 2'; above the lower right hand side of the drivers window where (according to the police-on a majority of cars) a crow bar can be inserted and the window popped out without triggering the alarm.

Are there any such beaches on BI?

Several folks seem to go topless at Makalawena Beach north of Kona. Though given that the beach has growing visitation, I wouldn%26#39;t suggest it any longer.

It%26#39;s secluded for sure, and sometimes no one is there, but other times we%26#39;ve seen a lot of folks there. I think it all depends on the condition of Kekaha Kai (Kona Coast) State Park%26#39;s road. If it%26#39;s in bad shape, few people are at the beach. If it%26#39;s been recently regraded, a lot of folks are down there.

Well, as long as we%26#39;re fessin%26#39; up, have had pleasant experience* at Honokohau Harbor Beach.

Welcome to TA Hawaii jammer; the BI is the topic of discussion.

*Pleasant Experience: nobody pointed %26amp; laughed...and my shades didn%26#39;t fog-up either.

Are thong bikinis allowed?

Julie:

I have seen many and have been known to wear thong bikinis myself while on the beach and not one person gave me a dirty look.

I see a lot of women (epecially european ladies) wear them without batting an eye.

I personally have no objection to women wearing thongs.
