Just curious who is and if you have been there in feb before.. we have only been in May and I am wondering what to expect with the weather. We will be staying in Poipu.
anyone else going in February? We normally go in Feb. Our favorite time - funny because we are going in May this time and I have never been in May. Each time we have gone in Feb. our weather has been great. In 2006 we went at the beginning of March and hit the great floods :) So what is May like?
anyone else going in February?normaly it is wetter than normal.... The weather folks have forcast beginning in Jan,2009 for wetter than normal conditions Jan-March NOAA records indicate the exact totals of the past. North and East will be the wettest, South and west will be the dryest....relative dryer
My son and I are headed to Kauai in Feb. We have been to Maui during that time, but not Kauai. The weather in Maui has been fine---a little rain, a little wind, some sun, not too hot or humid. I%26#39;m hoping that it will be sort of the same in Poipu (kiahuna plantation).
We%26#39;ve gone there 7 times in the Jan.- mid March time period and (knock on wood) have gorgeous weather all but 1 of the 14 weeks we were there. I%26#39;m hoping that holds out again for this Feb./March as we%26#39;ll be there again.
lets keep our fingers crossed OK? May is a great time to go if you want to avoid rain. I have been on Maui at many different times of the year and it seems a little unpredictable. The most rain we ever had was in July... so who knows?
We%26#39;ll be in Maui and Kauai from 2/13 to 2/25...can%26#39;t wait!
we will be there the same time...we arrive on the 12th of Feb... and leave the 23. Wish we were staying longer!
We just booked into The Cliffs at Princeville for Feb 11-16
We%26#39;ve been in Oct %26amp; Aug, those were great warm lovely times, with a few big t-storms scattered about, just to liven things up.
Wondering how rainy it%26#39;ll be at The Cliffs...we were hoping to spend more time at Queen%26#39;s Bath, but not if the surf is as high as they are saying now!
Is there a Feb TA Party in the making???

We can try. Seems like there will be a few TA%26#39;ers visiting. We%26#39;ve done a few different formats that seem to work: bring-your-own picnic at a beach park; (very) happy hour at Kalapaki Joe%26#39;s; pupus at someone%26#39;s home.
I might be able to host, but I can%26#39;t commit right now.

Forget it even if there are no high-surf advisories in effect. QB is dangerous in winter, period.
