Rough waves? Ocean?

I have heard the surf is extremely rough this week in Molokai. Swimming may not be an option for my vacation. Is there anyone on Molokai NOW or recently who can answer this for me??? HELP!!

The entire chain of islands of Hawaii in winter are subject to large swells and surf on much of their shore... some days more some days less. but rough is the norm in winter

Molokai, Oahu and Kauai because of a very exposed east and north shore has more hard weather and surf than and more sheltered Maui and Western Hawaii and Lanai.

There%26#39;s a gnarly swell coming in Tuesday ... Guy Hagi said so last night. I think it will only last a day or two. So watch out for that.

If you%26#39;ve ever read ';Beaches of Maui County'; -- which includes Moloka%26#39;i'; -- every beach on Moloka%26#39;i has hazards for swimming.

I%26#39;m here now and it%26#39;s a lovely day with calm seas where we are (south side) and just gentle trades, sun shining and birds chirping. Rough seas come and go expecially in the winter. They are calling for rain to come in tonight over Kauai and Oahu, then on to Maui county and the Big Island by Sunday. They say it%26#39;s moving fast and will be outta here totally by Sunday evening. Hey, a little rain sure beats a pile of snow. I see that you%26#39;re from Boston, so are we. A couple of snowbirds that fly the coop for the winter. Just glad we got out of there THIS winter. You guys got hit big time. So don%26#39;t fret, no matter, you%26#39;ll be out of there and in lovely Hawaii!
