Bus/taxis Lahaina

we%26#39;ve spending 9 nights in maui in early april, its our first trip there. A big factor for us is that neither of us drive.

I%26#39;ve been looking at some condos in Lahaina but they all state around 15 mins from central Lahaina (presuming that this means 15 mins by car).

Can anyone advise on local costs for taxis, semi reliable bus route.

We don%26#39;t mind walking alot, just thinking more about getting home after having few drinks, getting to harbour for trips etc.

2 of the condos we were looking at were napili point resort and Hololani resort.

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Bus/taxis Lahaina

I would suggest, instead of taxi or bus to reserve with either Executive Shuttle or SpeediShuttle to pick you up at the airport and take you to your lodgings. Taxi will be costly and frankly the cost unknown. The bus will not allow you to take anything that doesn%26#39;t fit into your lap.

Many many lodging choices have a Lahaina address - Napili is fifteen to twenty minutes north and Hololani only a minute or two closer.

There is a smaller bus that serves West Maui and runs all up and down from Napili to Lahaina for about a dollar - it can take you to Whalers Village, to Lahaina and so on. Here is a link to the bus info and you can peruse the schedule/routes.
