Napali sunset cruise end of January

Does anyone recommend taking a Napali cruise at the end of January? Would it be more worthwhile to take a helicopter tour instead if the water is too choppy?

I get motion sickness pretty easily and I would like to enjoy the view.

We%26#39;ve done the cruise in Jan., Feb. and March. The big catamarans ride pretty smoothly. We noticed some people got sick, but we don%26#39;t seem to be bothered with motion sickness, so can say if it would bother you. The problem with the helicopter ride is it is so short! At least it seems short even with it being about an hour long. But the views are amazing. If it%26#39;s a really windy day, the Napali cruise could be disappointing. Our first cruise was windy and high surf. They took us out farther to avoid more choppiness and the wind blew mist on the Napali. Sort of neat in a way, but definately not as neat as when it%26#39;s clear. After that, we made our other 2 cruise reservations the day before after checking out the forecast.

Which company do you recommend to book the sunset cruise with?

Captain Andy%26#39;s

We took Captain Andy%26#39;s sunset cruise last summer and loved it. Their cruise is on a large 55%26#39; catamaran that is quite clean and comfortable. We saw a ton of dolphin on our way from Port Allen around the west side. We did not go during whale season but I would imagine you will see a lot at the end of February. Captain Andy%26#39;s took us all the way to Hanakapiai Beach and sailed back. We had a very nice dinner with Mai Tais, Beer and pupus. The captain and crew were very professional and extremely helpful. Our family of 5 included my 80 year old mother and two children, ages 6 %26amp; 9. They assigned one crew member to watch the kids constantly even though I never left their side. They also delivered drinks and food to my mother so she never had to get up from her comfortable spot on the boat. Very nice folks!
